Gerber Condylator®

Clinical diagnostic instrument, integral part of the Gerber Medical Diagnosis System (artificial skull with a movement simulator), is a device used to simulate the mandible movements and to assess the maxillo-mandibular relation, with the purpose of diagnosing temporomandibular joints, diagnosing occlusion and to manufacture therapeutic components and devices that will be used by the patient.

The determined in the registration with Gerber Facebow – DED values provide information to program the Gerber Condylator®, including exact hinge axis, condyle eminence, sagittal condylar path inclination (indirectly Bennett angle and Immediate Side Shift). Gerber Condylator® provides control of the ortho-angulation of working and balancing facets in natural and artificial dentition. Anato-mechanical simulation of the condyles path from centric relation to the most retruded position of the mandible and from centric relation to the most protrusive position. Full three-dimensional capacity to control the Bennett movement and the Immediate Site Shift (ISS).

SIMPLEX

Gerber® Condylator® Simplex has condyles protrusive path fixed at 30° to the occlusal plane. Changeable opening of the joint-space (Vario device) from 0,0 to 1,2 mm, that enables the dentist to regulate the space for the meniscus in the TMJs and to regulate its load by varying the level of occlusion. The roofshaped guidance in the Gerber Condylator® joints facilitates rebuilding the angulation of the working and balancing facets of the posterior teeth in perfect coordination with the roofshape of the patients condyles.

INDIVIDUAL

Gerber® Condylator® Individual has adjustable (0° to 60°) condylar protrusive path according to the data registered using the Gerber Facebow – DED®. Anato-mechanical simulation of the condyles path from intercuspation centric to the most retruded position and to the most protrusive position of the mandible. Full three-dimensional capacity to control the Bennett movement and the Immediate Site Shift (ISS). The roofshaped guidance in the Gerber Condylator® joints facilitates rebuilding the angulation of the working and balancing facets of the posterior teeth in perfect coordination with the roofshape of the patients condyles.

VARIO

Gerber® Condylator® Vario has adjustable (0° to 60°) condylar protrusive path according to the data registered using the Gerber Facebow – DED® and changeable opening of the joint-space (Vario device) from 0,0 to 1,2 mm. Anato-mechanical simulation of the condyles path from intercuspation centric to the most retruded position and to the most protrusive position of the mandible. Full three-dimensional capacity to control the Bennett movement and the Immediate Site Shift (ISS).The roofshaped guidance in the Gerber Condylator® joints facilitates rebuilding the angulation of the working and balancing facets of the posterior teeth in perfect coordination with the roofshape of the patients condyles. Condylators Vario are selected by dentists especially interested in TMJ therapy by occlusal analysis, therapeutical splints and oral rehabilitation. The VARIO device enables them to relieve the tissues of the TMJ especially its compressed and/or displaced menisci by altering the level of occlusion in the molar area.
